Crimea Integration and Development Programme is a joint initiative of 14 countries and international development agencies. Resting upon experience and knowledge of its partners, the Programme implements an integrated strategic approach, assisting the Crimean population and government in dealing with present-day region development challenges.
The assistance provided by the partners includes substantial funds combined with technical and expert support. Due to numerous visits of experts from the agencies, UNDP CIDP has developed and formed the approaches it applies in its work today. UN Development Programme, in turn, offers its knowledge and experience so that the tasks could be performed optimally and the joint initiative could be implemented on behalf of the international partners.
UNDP CIDP is a bright example of how coordination of donors’ efforts within a joint programme can bring about dramatic long-term results, successful cooperation with authorities and reduction of administrative costs. In particular, the common strategy, used in all UNDP CIDP work regardless of the funding source, has created a lot of examples of successfully implemented projects, which could not escape the notice of Crimea higher authorities. Moreover, it made it possible to reach a high level of confidence with both people and authorities and ensure the Programme’s influence in sector policy development and strategic planning.
